Bio: Jana Hamrell
Jana graduated from the University of Vermont with a Bachelor of Science degree and became certified by the National Athletic Trainers Association in 1993. She worked at a high school and sports medicine clinic in Boston before moving back to Vermont where she worked at a local sports medicine clinic and was the first athletic trainer at Mt. Mansfield High School. She took two years off after the birth of her twin boys, and then returned to work at the University of Vermont Sports Therapy department. While at UVM she designed rehabilitation programs for varsity athletes, the general student population, faculty and staff while working closely with the clinicians at the student health center and area orthopedic specialists. Her specialty is rehabilitation of orthopedic injuries. While not working she is cheering on her boys with her husband at various athletic events or spreading colorful cheer through her face and body art business.
